Silly Boys!

I am amazed at how big the boys are getting and how well they play together.

Grant realized he could fit in his tool bench.

He likes to hide in there.
They also like to dress up in costumes.

MJ's hulk face.
Here they are arguing about who gets the Hulk glove that makes noise.

Eventually they share.... or argue some more.

March Snow!

We haven't had very much snow this year but when it does the boys and Micah get really excited.
It started snowing late one afternoon and Micah and the boys played in the snow until 7pm.
Here are a few pictures from their fun.

Grant and the giant snowflakes.

Mr. Snowman... they boys used chalk for his face and Grant's bicycle helmet for the hat.

What better way to warm up than with hot chocolate in a Georgia mug.

Grant all wet from the snow.
MJ and Grant with their snowman.

MJ enjoying his hot chocolate.

Baseball 2014

MJ is playing baseball again this year!
Micah is helping coach his team again, this year they are the Red Wings.
Red and Black just like the Georgia Bulldogs so we love that.
Grant enjoys watching some but he mostly likes playing on the playground while the baseball game is going on. We really enjoy this time of year and getting to see people in the community.

Snow Day

A couple of weeks ago... maybe it was last week... I can't keep up with days/weeks anymore... anyway it snowed at our house. The boys had a blast playing in the snow but were sad when the snow turned to rain and it all melted rather quickly.

MJ getting ready to launch this snow ball/brick thing at me.

Grant just being Grant.

I love how you can see the big snow flakes in the picture
and the look on MJ's face after making the perfect snowball.

Grant pushing all the snow off of the table.

My sweet boys!

Snow ball fight!

MJ Turns 7!

I should begin this post by saying I failed in taking pictures of this birthday for MJ.
We had a family game night theme party and the games we played were outside.
We played balloon stomp (everyone ties a balloon around their ankle and then you have to stomp other balloons but keep yours from getting popped), Twister and Giant Jenga (one of the perks of living at a Young Life camp, life size Jenga). As I said before I should have pictures of all of these games but I don't... because I was playing the games too. :)

MJ opening gifts.

Happy Birthday MJ!
He looks a little embarrassed.

But I know MJ and he loves the attention!

Christmas 2013

This Christmas was a quiet one, but we had a lot of fun!
I love how Christmas has transformed as I have gotten older from material gifts, to gifts of laughter and memories. God is so good in how He has blessed us and Christmas just amplifies His love for us.
Here are a few pictures from our unseasonably warm Christmas.

The boys playing with the remote control car they got from Davis BBQ!
They just had to build a ramp.

Here is our Christmas tree... it is still sparse looking
but a vast improvement on last year.
Santa brought sleds and a snow brick maker and a snow ball maker
we just haven't had any snow to play in yet.

MJ checking out his Disney Infinity game.
Grant checking out his tools and workbench.

Grant loves to build... or take things apart and try to put them back together again.

Both of our boys love the Hot Wheels Triple Track Twister.
They currently have a record of counting how many times the
car goes around before it falls or stops.

Then we went to Nana and Pops.
MJ got this cool bicycle helmet.

Grant was opening something... probably his Mater truck.

The boys also had fun playing with some Christmas stickers from Davis BBQ.

Grant Turns 3!

On Sunday we celebrated Grant's 3rd Birthday since we were traveling on his actual birthday and life was a little crazy when we got back.
Grant loves Handy Manny and anything to do with construction.
He likes to fix things... to take things apart and figure out how to put them back together again.

We had Handy Manny characters on the windows.
A tool table cloth and hard hats for all of his friends.

Here is the cake... I am loving my laminator.
I just printed a picture of Manny and the tools and laminated it.
I think it turned out pretty cute.

Chili for the adults and pizza for the kids.

Grant liked when we sang to him this year.
He really liked blowing out his candle.

Love that smiling face!

Present time.
He had some tickets (money) in this card.

Silly boy.

This is probably his favorite toy.
He can take it apart and put it back together with the drill it came with.

Here is the pull string piñata I made.
Since it gets dark at 5pm and the party was for a toddler I went with this style.
It is supposed to look like Stretch the tape measure.
The pull string didn't really work so I ended up opening the piñata.

The kids didn't care... there was candy and also some small multi-colored
flash lights that the all put on their fingers.

This is the kids with their flash lights jumping on the trampoline.

I can't believe our Grant is 3 already.
He is so much fun and also keeps me on my toes... as I type this I look over to find him pulling all of the floss out of it's box... better get back to keeping an eye on him. :)
