MJ is 6!

We celebrated MJ's birthday with a day at home.

He got to pick whatever he wanted to eat for each meal his menu was: Popcorn for breakfast, Strawberry Pancakes for lunch and Grilled Cheese for dinner.

He got a new video game that he played most of the day.

His Mario and Luigi party was on January 18th... I have a separate post for that one.

Micah told him to stand on the chair to blow out his candles.

Here is is sprinkle cake... MJ loves sprinkles.

I can't believe how big he is!

Grant's Words:

It has taken Grant quite a bit longer to start talking than it did for MJ (probably because MJ does all the talking). Grant has started to say some words and we are super excited to hear him talk!

Grant's usual list of words includes: Mama, Dada, Night Night, Uh Oh and Bye Bye:

Since last week he has started to say Go - it is super cute and he tries to say Peek-a-boo.

Over the last two weeks Grant's vocabulary has exploded! He is now saying: I want to (it all runs together but we get the gist) I want go, I want play, I want drink and I want snack. He usually puts the I want sound in front of whatever he is asking for.

The Things MJ Says That Make Me Smile!

May 29th 2012: Well I know it has been a long time sine I have posted anything here and I assure you MJ has said plenty to make me laugh, so I don't have an excuse. About a month ago MJ was asking us if we went to a store where they sold a Slushy Magic (you might have seen it on a commercial) if we could buy one and how much it would cost. I told him it costs $20 and I wasn't sure that we would buy it but then I said "MJ you know you have $20" his face lit up and he said "In fact I do". Where does he come up with these things.

October 29th 2011: I was cleaning the house and asked MJ to pick up the toys in the living room. I overhear him talking to himself and he is complaining so I asked him what was wrong and he said: "When I have to pick the toys up all by myself I feel like I have to do everything" so I said "well I have to do the dishes, the laundry, put away the clothes and clean the toilets" MJ replied "well at least we only have 2, if we had 1,000,000 toilets we would be late". I guess I shouldn't have been complaining either :)

March 2nd 2011: We were eating lunch at the Pueblo Grill and Micah was eating fajitias and MJ asked what the green pepper was so Micah told him and asked if he wanted to try the pepper. MJ said "no my face would turn red and I would say choo choo" we all laughed and explained that only happened in cartoons.

June 11th 2010: MJ and I were on our way to Davis BBQ and we stopped at Dunn's Food Store to get a bisquit. MJ says "Mommy is this Speed Burger" No MJ I say the he says "is this Speed Bisquit... pretty cute.

February 16th 2010: MJ was sword fighting this morning and he charged as fast as he could at the front window and fell flat on his bottom... I guess the window won that fight.

February 1st 2010: We were all eating dinner last night and I had the radio on. The song "Fireflies" by Owl City came on and MJ started singing... he knew most of the words. :)

January 31st 2010: MJ called to Micah after he went to bed. So Micah went up to see what he needed and MJ said "there is someone stomping in my ears". He put his head down on his pillow and said "See". Then he sat up and said "when I sit like this it stops". So all we can figure is that he heard his heart beat when his head was on his pillow... what a cute way to explain what he was hearing.

January 18th 2010: MJ and I were driving home from the grocery store today when he looked out the window and said "crazy women drivers" that alone is funny but this is not the first time he has said it. I wonder where he learned that saying?

January 12th 2010: MJ came home from a movie with Ashley and Chip and now if you ask him what you do if you like something he says "put a ring on it" so funny!

January 14th 2010: MJ and I have dance parties in my room so he can jump on the bed. So today during our dance party he came to me and said "Momom may I have this dance"

January 7th 2010: MJ woke me up this morning... he said "Mom... Cinderella" great way to wake up even if it was 6:30am.

January 4th 2010: Quote from Toy Story " You are a Toy a child's play thing" Pretty cute!

Laying MJ down for his nap today he said... "Momom do you know I love you" that is the best!

January 5th 2010: MJ and Micah were playing in the floor and MJ says "I don't need any tickling... I'm fine" I laughed out loud.
